The brief
Fitness apps live or die on reliability: lose someone's workout history once and they will not come back. We designed and planned Pulse as a training app for people who follow structured programmes, with quality engineering treated as a core feature rather than a final step.

Key idea
Offline first
Workouts are saved locally and synced reliably, so poor gym signal never loses progress.
Our approach
How we solved it.
Pulse works fully offline in the gym and syncs when a connection returns, with conflict handling designed so data is never silently overwritten. The interface is built for sweaty hands and quick glances: large controls, one-tap logging and haptic confirmation.
Alongside the app, we designed a quality pipeline: automated end-to-end tests for every critical flow, device-matrix testing on real phones, and performance budgets for launch time and battery use, all running automatically before each release.

Week of Dec 8 dips below your $5,000 safety line. Moving the supplier payment 5 days fixes it.
